VIDEOPERFORMANCE AS A RESPONSE TO THE CONFLICT OF THE VALUES OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY
This project aims at questioning, through the body in motion and the videoperformance, the strengths and limits of the technology. More precisely, it will be a reflection, through videoperformance, of the conflict of values that crosses contemporary human thought.

On the one hand, technology in the service of human and art creates new potentials and new horizons, it serves human projects and the spread of new thoughts, thus creating new possibilities for the future. Present and future. However, it can also serve the diffusion of destructive thoughts and projects. Technology, the media of communication, through their ambivalence, reflect the conflicts of values and thoughts that cross our contemporary societies.

How far can this technology help us and how far can it push us to destruction? It will be a question for us to question our identity as a human being confronted with these potentials: we will seek to question the body and the link (between bodies, between dancers and spectators) within its limits and extremes. How far are we ready to go in construction as in destruction? For this we choose as the first track to question the vulgar violence of the images that surround us: bodies bruised, violent, instrumentalized, bargained, killed.

Through a series of small performances in situ, we decontextualize these images to requestion them in a different context, looking for the limits, in art and in the movement, of violence, fall, confidence and solidarity that we can reach . We will obviously not seek to imitate violent realities but rather to draw, as artists confronted with the real, in sensations that question our own limits in art.

This is our first project in partnership with Aurore Floreancig and Cie MouvemenT (és) - FR, Santiago Schaerer and Roberto Cardozo - PY. Performance begins in creative residencies for aesthetic, visual, technical and choreographic research, as well as theoretical research in the social sciences.
